Quick Set – A Short Note from Bryan Pieschel

I had a text from Bryan Pieschel (Vets and Volleyball, posted 7/13/2015), who wanted to clarify two points with the Volleyball community.

First, Bryan emphasized that he was not “severely” injured in relation to the numerous soldiers and Iraqi citizens he treated whose injuries were far more serious than his own.

Second, Bryan actually did re-enlist for a second term of duty, but he was “Medically Retired” from active service by a Medical Evaluation Board.

I’ll speak for the entire Volleyball community here, which I’m rarely qualified to do, but I’ll do it here and now.  “BRYAN, WE’RE JUST GLAD YOU’RE BACK!”
