Not Quite There Yet…

If the preseason is footballs oven, designed to slowly cook an item to its juicy perfection, the Bucs need to go back in a little bit longer. They are not quite ready yet.

But afterall, this is the preseason, a time not to watch the game to see who wins, but to watch the game and see what it is you can take from it. Here is what I take…

There is a reason we heard the Bucs got it handed to them in practice during the week. They got it handed to them in the game too! The Patriots are still a far better team. Across the board. Mind you the Bucs did not have their opening day offensive line in place.

The Offensive line looked very offensive.

Mike Glennon looks to be a player you cannot judge in practice, he brings his game under the lights.

Bucs defense looks to be ahead of the offense even without Revis in place. This goes against anything that makes sense, but it still looks that way.

These Joint practices benefited the Bucs more than the Pats, the Bucs would do well to continue these.

Peyton Hillis may have made a solid case for his making the team.

Overall, the Running back race looks good.Hillis, Between Hillis, James and Leonard, the Bucs appear to be in good hands.
