No, there won’t be agame today. But you can go see the Bucs practice at 4pm most days, and next Friday is the hugely successful night practice that draws tens of thousands of fans each year!
This year camp is even more exciting than ever for two main reasons;
1) about half of the team is new from last year
2) because of 1, there are major battles to be seen.Plus, you’ll want to see some things; is Josh McCown everything he’s been BeHowfathese3rd, 4th, and 5th receivers? Did the Bucs reach bytakinga running back in 2nd round? How good are his hands? What Is the defense going to sound like? Chaos, or control.
Each year, the Bucs fans come out to camp and its just a great feeling because you really don’t know what your going to get. Expectations are always met to fans at camp. A TD scored is TD scored when your the Bucs and your always weak on offense, but then some will look at the same play and realize the defense just gave up a TD!
How many times have you gone to camp thinking the Bucs will have a good year, and come the regular season, disaster! Last year for example!
I was at the stadium for the night practice, and Josh Freeman stunk at the QB fun drills, while Mike Glennon nailed them all! “Its just camp” we all said.
One thing Bucs fans will probably never do again, never dismiss what happens at preseason. Each year we seem to say “Its ok, its only preseason”…maybe there is a reason we play 4 games before they count!!
