One thing about team yearbook videos, each one you watch you would swear they just won the SuperBowl. If historians watch all the 80s Bucs yearbooks, they would be certain Tampa Bay was the city of Champions!
Sometimes though, especially when a coaching change happens, you get more of a preview of things to come. The 2013 Tampa Bay Buccaneers video is exactly that; A great lookback at some of the nice plays and players from 2013, but is narrated and focused on the future under Head Coach Lovie Smith.
Before getting to Smith though, the begging pays homage to Malcolm Glazer and his impact on the Bucs. Not too quickly, the theme moves forward to the Glazer’s hiring of Lovie Smith. It makes sense why it took so long for this video to be released, as clips from Bucs mini camp from only 6 weeks ago are included.
Several Bucs have interviews during the show, Dashon Goldson, but mostly Gerald McCoy. All of the new Bucs are featured with some great time spent on the draft picks and current players.
If you want to see a lot of clips from last year, you should get your fill, but as Gerald McCoy says “Forget about last season…” …once you see the Bucs again, they won’t even look the same.
