Some of the AAC Football Fever staff members have been hand selected to give their weekly picks for each American Athletic Conference game.
Blake Lovell, Mitch Wilcox, Jay Saunders, John Nestor, Zach Rastall, Al Burke, and Michael Compton will test their knowledge by contesting me each and every week for bragging rights (and maybe a gratifying pat on the back) at the end of the season.
Conference play is now in full-swing with Temple and Connecticut as the only two teams with non-conference games left on the schedule (both taking place in mid-November).
Out of the four games being played this weekend, only one has (potential) major implications on the AAC title race: Temple at Houston on Friday night. The Owls are 4-1, but have yet to attain a marquee win—no thanks to Vanderbilt—and could really make a statement with a victory at TDECU Stadium. The Cougars, on the other hand, are looking for their first two-game winning streak of the season and want to re-establish themselves as league contenders.
