The Saints have just signed 2nd year linebacker K.C.Asiodu to a contract according to nola.com. Asiodu was a rookie last year for the Rams and played in handful of games, mostly on special teams, totalling 8 tackles. As an undrafted rookie, he’s likely just coming in for a brief look over the next couple games, but I’ll tell you the reason why the Saints are taking a look: special teams coverage. I’ve been talking about it ad nauseum for the last two weeks that coverage units have been atrocious and they are in desperate need of an upgrade. If Asiodu can proove to be of worth on coverage units, there’s a chance he could stick. Still, I think this signing is most likely just another camp body. To be continued…
