What’s wrong with the Saints? Is it a Super Bowl hangover? Is it Reggie Bush, Pierre Thomas and others being out with injury? Is it Garrett Hartley’s inability to hit a field goal? No, it’s not any of those things. The reason the Saints have lost their mojo is simple: Drew Brees and the offense are turning the ball over way too much. I wrote an article today for Canal Street Chronicles that details the Saints’ woes this season which you can check out by CLICKING HERE. In short, the Saints have 14 turnovers in 7 games. That’s 2 per game. 11 of those have come in their 3 losses. That’s an average of almost 4 per game they lose. In the NFL, my argument is that winning and losing really is that simple. Stop turning it over in high volume, and the wins will come back.
