Saints Nation: Roman Harper Headed to the Pro Bowl

Saints Nation: Roman Harper Headed to the Pro Bowl
Roman Harper has been bumped up from an alternate to the Pro Bowl squad, thanks to strong safety Nick Collins of the Green Bay Packers being ineligible. Any player on a Super Bowl team is automatically unable to play in the Pro Bowl these days, as the game is played a week before the Super Bowl. Collins is headed to the big game with the Packers (who will face the Steelers), so that opened up the strong safety spot for Harper. Congrats to Roman Harper who had a fantastic regular season. It’s a good thing Matt Hasselbeck won’t be a member of the AFC squad or I’m not sure I’d want him going. Harper is the fifth member of the Saints to head to the Pro Bowl this season, joining Drew Brees, Jonathan Vilma, Jahri Evans and Carl Nicks. You can look forward to seeing these guys all play one last time next weekend in Dallas.
