Despite passing on a couple really nice players in Sharrif Floyd and Jarvis Floyd, the Saints decided to take safety Kenny Vaccaro of Texas. I'm just glad it's a defensive player and I do think he's an upgrade. In three mocks I've been involved in, I had picked Vaccaro in two of them (took Jarvis Jones in the other) and I like this pick. More than anything, I've had enough of the Jenkins/Harper tandem and it was time to mix that up. Back end play has been miserable and Vaccaro will help improve that. You have to think Roman Harper's days as a Saint could be numbered after this pick. Vaccaro was clearly the best safety in the draft.
