Many of us suspected that the Saints might go with a receiver in the 5th round, and the fourth player they've selected is WR Kenny Stills of Oklahoma. Still ran the fastest time at the combine of any receiver according to Larry Holder, with a 4.38.
Kenny Stills' write up on NFL.com can be found here.
His blazing speed is obviously his biggest asset, and while he's not very physical he does have good hands to go with it. The Saints offense was at it's best when it had two field stretchers in Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem in their prime. Those two players can now be Joe Morgan and Kenny Stills. Stills struggles in the slot and that's ok, because the Saints used Henderson almost exclusively on the outside. As Morgan's role develops this year I could see Stills used as a one trick pony stretching the field from the outside until he gets some seasoning. He can provide some help to the team in year one with his speed, though. He will open up the offense and perhaps make big plays here and there. He'll provide some nice competition to Nick Toon for the #4 receiver on the team assuming Devery Henderson is not brought back.
