Some sad news hit the airwaves over the weekend as Kenny Wilkerson, 52 years young, lost his battle with cancer. Wilkerson was a Saints sideline reporter and frequent New Orleans sports radio pesonality on WWL in my formative years. I wanted to pay my respects here because he had a good relationship with my friend Ralph Malbrough. Wilkerson was a knowledgeable football mind in the middle of what I consider a lot of poor talking local radio personalities (putting it mildly). He always stood out to me as a gem. He paved the way for a higher standard.
Ralph had the following to say on twitter about Kenny:
As Saints fans we crave info/news & dirt on the #Saints, #KennyWilkerson understood that sometimes to a fault & delivered. I will miss him.

@jgreen1570 KW told us stuff that made Saints uncomfortable but I'd rather know truth than believe Airline Drive is all sunshine/rainbows

Prayers and best wishes to his family during this trying time. The Who Dat Nation will miss a part of it's family. RIP.
