The eighth best play of 2013 was a vintage Marques Colston 31 yard catch with 17 seconds left that set up Garrett Hartley’s game winning field goal in Tampa Bay at the buzzer. The kick sealed a 16-14 win in week 2. You’ll remember the Saints were in control of a sterile contest 13-7 that was briefly suspended by lightning until Drew Brees threw a horrible pick six right into the waiting hands of a dropping linebacker (Mason Foster). Down 14-13 with an offense that had largely stalled all game, Brees orchestrated a masterful two minute drill to help get his team out of Tampa with a game winning walk off field goal.
You can watch the Colston catch HERE, right before the game winning field goal. Really this is a tribute to that entire last drive, which was special.
