This was a pretty amazing weekend Saints wise. There was a lot of unexpected stuff. Corey White getting an INT, tripling the total INTs, Cooks finally being used as he was supposed to… So what did that mean for our bold predictions?
I must give it to Andrew Juge; Aaron Rodgers breaks a single game NFL passing record of some sort. That was exactly what he did. He threw for most yards in a first (or any?) quarter by a QB ever. I can not really find that stat but it might have been announced in the game. Andrew pointed this out to me and as a good boy I do believe him most of the time. Also this time. Luckily it was only in Q1 so the Saints could win the game.
Andrew Doyle said Nelson would go without a TD and under 100 yards. And he did. The pass happy offense could not get anything going with Nelson against one of the worst pass defenses.
Then for the nicest thing of this post last week… You guys joined in! I really liked that. We want see your bold predictions every week! RickySpanish was dead on correct saying Ingram got 150 yards rushing AND Drew Brees threw no Interceptions. Sir Gumbeaux (who made our logo) was close with only predicting a bit too much yards for Brees. More importantly, he gave an INT to White. I will give him this one since the other part of it, completion percentage when thrown to… I do not know where to find that stat and I am short on time :). Stolfi10 was only 8 points short fo his bold prediction coming true, and had he said Rodgers instead of Brees his other one would have been correct.
This is a short week, I hope you guys get your bold predictions in. These are ours:
Andrew Juge
- Erik Lorig scores multiple TDs.
- John Jenkins has a pick six and then eats football as celebration. (<-Most awesome bold prediction ever)
Neer Shah
- Panthers win by more than 2 scores
- Yet Cooks has more receiving yards than the entire Panthers WR corps.
- Cooks goes for 200 all purpose yards and 3 scores including a return TD.
- Brees goes for 500 and 5 scores.
- Cam Newton has less then 10 rushing yards and is sacked at least 5 times.
- Pathers score their one and only TD on their first drive.
- Graham gets 200 yards (You mean kicking for 200 yards right? XD)
- Cam Jordan gets 3 sacks. (You keep that in so you make him better… right?)
