The Lions game definitely ranks as one of the most painful losses of the season, especially since the Lions really had no business escaping with a victory. The Saints completely dominated that game from top to bottom for 3.9 quarters before pissing it all away in the final minutes with a comedy of mistakes. You’ll be seeing more from this game but consider this inexplicable interception by Brees as an appetizer.
You can watch Brees basically give the Lions the win right here with the Saints up 23-17 with about 3 minutes left. Mind you the Saints were up 23-10 before this interception and had it in the bag until Corey White went for an interception recklessly, Vaccaro took a horrendous angle, and Keenan Lewis couldn’t catch up.
