This below makes sense because the minimum tender is around $1.5 million and there’s no way the Saints can afford to pay a reserve lineman that much. Losing Walker would be a bummer, though. As an undrafted rookie he has exceeded expectations and has been a rare bright spot as a developing reserve. The guy can play inside, outside, rush the passer and play the run a little bit. As a backup he’s as solid as anyone the Saints have had. Hope he sticks… the Saints are at risk of losing him.
