So the first signing in free agency for the New Orleans Saints is cornerback Brandon Browner. Per Adam Schefter:

Browner is a physical corner with nice size that started in the CFL before making his way to the NFL and having immediate success transitioning. He doesn’t have the best speed so he can get beat deep and he’s very physical so he can draw flags. In fact, he led the NFL in called penalties last year. That said, he’ll bring toughness and attitude to this defense and he can start right away on the other side of Keenan Lewis. He’s also viewed as a leader that will influence the younger players to have accountability. The deal is rumored to be around $5 million per year. Nice pickup at a huge spot of need.
