The fans have spoken and the winners have been chosen! Saints Drew Brees and Tim Hightower were awarded the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week! Brees and Hightower won for their spectacular performances against the Jacksonville Jaguars (Brees, completed 25 of 36 passes (69.4 percent) for 412 yards and three touchdowns for a 135.4 passer rating and Hightower had 27 carries for 122 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints’ 38-27 win).
Don’t forget, because of his win, New Orleans chapter of the American Red Cross will now be awarded a $4,000 donation in Brees and Hightower’s names ($2,000 for each player).
