Due to a slew of injuries to the Flyers this past week, the Flyers have decided to make some call ups from their minor league affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms. The Flyers called up center Ben Holmstrom and defensemen Andreas Lilja. Both of these players have played with the Flyers this season. Holmstrom, who is 24 years old, skated in one game with the Flyers vs the Buffalo Sabres on November 2nd. With the Phantoms this season, Holmstrom played in 25 games, and had eight goals and eight assists.
On the other hand, Lilja who is 36 years old, was with the Phantoms for a conditioning stint due to a high ankle sprain. He has played in 20 games for the Flyers this season, and has three assists and 14 penalty minutes.
