Well folks, if you thought that the Miami Marlins were done in free agency… they aren’t. Today, the Marlins signed free agent White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle to a 4 yr., $58 million dollar contract.
Buehrle, who is in his 11th season, went 13-9, with 109 strikeouts and had a 3.59 ERA with the White Sox last season. Over his career, Buehrle is 161-119, with 1,396 strikeouts and a 3.83 ERA. Buehrle is going to join a good pitching rotation that has an ace in Josh Johnson and other good pitchers such as, Ricky Nolasco and Anibal Sanchez. I wonder if the Marlins are done yet in free agency? Only time will tell.
