On Sunday Night, The Miami Marlins signed New York Mets free agent SS Jose Reyes to a six year deal and the contract is worth up to $111 million dollars according to sources. The Marlins will pay Reyes $106 million for the first six years and then there is a seventh year option worth up to $22 million dollars.
Jose Reyes is 28 years old and hit .337 last season for the Mets to win the NL Batting Title. Also last season for the Mets, Reyes had 7 HRs and 44 RBI. Reyes over his career has a .292 batting average and 370 stolen bases.
