If you thought that the Eagles were out of the playoffs, then you thought wrong. The Eagles handled business again for the second straight week in a row as they crushed the New York Jets 45-19.

The whole team played a heck of a game. DE Juqua Parker started the scoring for the Eagles as he recovered a fumble caused by a big hit from S Kurt Coleman on Jets WR Santonio Holmes. After that 47 yard Juqua Parker fumble return, the floodgates opened up for the Eagles. The Eagles scored 21 straight unanswered points going into the half up 28-13 on the Jets. The scoring continued as Eagles RB LeSean McCoy chipped in with two rushing TDs of his own in the 3rd and 4th quarter. LeSean McCoy became 1st in Eagles team history in total tds and rushing tds for a single season.

The Eagles are still in the playoff hunt as they will now face the Dallas Cowboys at 4:15 pm on Christmas Eve, but the Eagles are going to need help this week as well. The Eagles need the Jets to beat the Giants at 1:00 pm on Christmas Eve. This all seems like a tall task but anything is possible.

The players of the game are Eagles TE Brent Celek, who had 5 receptions for 156 yards, and 1 TD. The second player of the game goes to Eagles RB LeSean McCoy, who had 18 carries for 102 yards, and 3 TDs. Finally, the last player of the game goes to DE Jason Babin who had 3 sacks, and who is approaching the late, great Reggie White’s single season sack record in Eagles team history.
