Tonight, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Sacramento Kings 112-85. The Sixers came out firing on all cylinders for all four quarters in this game.


Leading the Sixers in scoring tonight was PF Elton Brand. Brand posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. PG Jrue Holiday also had a good game with 17 points on 8 of 13 shooting in 32 minutes. Rookie center Nikola Vucevic got extended minutes tonight as center Spencer Hawes left the game due to a lower back strain. Vucevic, in 19 minutes, had 4 points and 5 rebounds. On a side note, Rookie PF Lavoy Allen got his first points in the NBA and finished the game with 5 points.


On the Kings side, they were without their leading scorer G Marcus Thornton. PF DeMarcus Cousins was the leading scorer for the Kings tonight; he had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Finally, in place of the injured Marcus Thornton, Rookie PG Jimmer Fredette got the start. In 24 minutes, Jimmer scored 7 points.


The Sixers are now 7-2 and now have a six game winning streak. The Sixers take on the New York Knicks tomorrow at Madison Square Garden at 7:30 pm.
