The Sunday matinee against the Washington Wizards was held in our nation’s capital. The C’s were shorthanded again without Rajon Rondo who has a sprained right wrist. Paul Pierce was the player of the game, finishing with a career high of 34 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds. The Celtics loss Ray Allen during the first half and he never came back after hurting his left ankle. Meanwhile, Kevin Garnett dropped 17 points and Brandon Bass helped with 14 points. However, John Wall finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. The Wizards fell short even with the help of Nick Young who had 19 points and JaVale McGee with 13 points. The Celtics win their 6th game of the season! The Celtics look forward to keeping the push alive in the next game as they play the Orlando Magic, Monday, January 23, 2012 at 7:30pm! GO CELTICS!
