Tonight, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Golden State Warriors 105-83. It was only fitting that the Sixers scored 105 points as it was 50 years ago on this date that Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points.
For the Sixers, guard Lou Williams led the team in scoring tonight with 25 points and also added 2 rebounds and 3 assists. From the starting lineup, PF Elton Brand had a double-double consisting of 14 points and 14 rebounds, while SF Andre Iguodala had a double-double consisting of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Also can’t forget Thaddeus Young, who had 16 points and 7 rebounds.
For the Warriors, PF David Lee led the way with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Also SG Monta Ellis had 20 points and 7 assists. On Sunday, the Sixers (22-15) take on the Chicago Bulls (30-8) at 7:00 pm at the Wells Fargo Center.
