Yesterday afternoon, the La Salle Explorers loss to the Fordham Rams 67-62. The Explorers, yesterday afternoon, couldn’t stop Fordham’s forward Chris Gaston. Gaston was unstoppable; he kept the Rams in the game and eventually won them the game. Gaston finished the game 16 of 30, with 35 points, and 16 rebounds.
For the Explorers, Freshman forward Jerrell Wright had a good game with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Finally, we started to see the re-emergence of guard Ramon Galloway. He had 14 points, 3 steals, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds.
La Salle is now (18-11, 7-7 A-10) and is in 8th place in the A-10, fighting for tournament seeding. On Wednesday at 7:00 pm, the Explorers will take on the (10-18, 5-9 A-10) George Washington Colonials. La Salle needs to win these last two games of the regular season and have a good showing in the A-10 tournament to solidify any postseason tournament chances.
