Tonight, the Philadelphia 76ers took on the San Antonio Spurs. The Sixers were without SF Andre Iguodala, who did not play due to left patella tendinitis. The Spurs, on the other hand; were without C Tim Duncan, who did not play because head coach Greg Popovitch gave him a day off. Also PG Gary Neal did not play due to a foot sprain and finally, PF Tiago Splitter was out due to back spasms.
The Spurs defeated the Sixers tonight 93-76. Leading the way in scoring for the Sixers was PF Elton Brand. Brand had 14 points and 9 rebounds. Brand shot 7 for 9 from the field tonight. Also from three point range tonight, the Sixers were 1 for 9.
The leading scorer for the Spurs tonight was PG Tony Parker. Parker had 21 points and 7 assists. Parker shot 9 for 17 from the field. Finally, PF DeJuan Blair had 19 points, 3 steals, and 6 rebounds.
The Sixers (27-22) will play the Cleveland Cavaliers (17-29) at 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center.
