Today, the Philadelphia Flyers loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2 in the last game of the regular season. For the Flyers, Claude Giroux did not play; he was scratched from today’s lineup. Also Danny Briere and Nicklas Grossman were out today with their injuries. 


In the first period, the game was tied up at 1-1. The Flyers got a goal from C Brayden Schenn, it was his 12th of the season and the Pens got a goal from RW Pascal Dupuis, which was his 25th goal of the season. Then from the 2nd period on it was all Pittsburgh, as they got goals from Kunitz, Crosby, and Malkin. For Malkin, it was his 50th goal of the season. 


Now, the regular season has came to end and the Stanley Cup Playoffs are upon us. These two teams will meet up again in the first round of playoffs, as the Penguins will be the fourth seed and the Flyers will be the fifth seed. The Flyers finish the season with a record of (47-26-9) with 103 points. The playoff schedule will be announced tomorrow at 1 pm on the NHL Network and on NHL.com.
