Tonight, the Philadelphia 76ers stepped up in the fourth quarter when their backs were against the wall vs. the Chicago Bulls, and they stepped up and made a stand. The Sixers defeated the Bulls 79-74 in a very defensive game. It was a tightly contested first half between the two teams but then in the second half, it was a tale of two different quarters. In the third quarter, the Sixers offense was stifled by the Bulls defense but in the fourth quarter, the Sixers defense flipped the script on the Bulls offense and stifled them.

For the Sixers, Spencer Hawes played tremendously scoring a playoff career high 21 points and adding 9 rebounds. It was a big game for Hawes because Elton Brand could not get anything going tonight as he had zero points. The starting backcourt of Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner stepped up again just as they did in Game 2. Tonight, they had combined for 33 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists.

The Sixers will be looking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead on the Bulls in Game 4, Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm on ABC. The Bulls could be without Joakim Noah, who sprained his ankle very badly in the third quarter. He was seen leaving the arena on crutches.
