Last night, in an overtime thriller, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Indiana Pacers 109-106. In overtime, Lou Williams hit a three pointer and was fouled by Pacers PF David West and then Williams hit the free throw to complete the four point play. The Sixers played a complete game last night against a playoff team.
The leading scorer for the Pacers last night was David West, who had 32 points and 12 rebounds. On the other hand; Danny Granger was held to four points on 2 of 12 shooting, even though he had 11 rebounds. Off the bench, Tyler Hansbrough had 17 points on 8 of 14 shooting.
For the Sixers, Elton Brand was the team’s leading scorer with 20 points and he grabbed 9 rebounds. Andre Iguodala and Jrue Holiday both had another complete game with Iguodala scoring 16 points and Holiday scoring 17 points. Finally, Lou Williams, who came off the bench and took over overtime, had 19 points.
The Sixers are now (33-30) and will play the New Jersey Nets (22-42) on Monday night at 7:30 pm as it will be the Nets final home game at the Prudential Center.
