Nike unveiled the new USA soccer jerseys and for the first time in history both USMNT and USWNT will be wearing the same jersey. With red and white horizontal stripes and blue collar, the American flag is the inspiration for the new kits. The jerseys will be used in action when the USMNT play Scotland on May 26th. The men’s game takes place in Jacksonville Florida. You can see the women’s new kits in person when they play China in Philadelphia on May 27th.
The Where’s Waldo-esque color scheme is oddly reminiscent of the 94 world cup jerseys. The new jerseys so far have been warmly received by the public and can be seen as a step up from the old grey jerseys or the more recent solid red jerseys.
