Today, infielder Kevin Frandsen joined the Phillies from the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs (AAA). Frandsen will take the place of third baseman Placido Polanco on the 25 man roster. The reason why Frandsen is with the Phillies because Polanco was placed on the 15 day DL on Thursday due to lower back inflammation, this was retroactive to July 23rd. This season for the IronPigs, Frandsen is batting .302 with one home run and 33 RBIs.
