The Soul Fall to the Rattlers in Arena Bowl 25

The Philadelphia Soul could not outscore the Arizona Rattlers tonight in Arena Bowl 25 and that is how they loss. The Rattlers defeated the Soul 72-54 and it started off bad for the Soul as quarterback Dan Raudabaugh threw three interceptions which put Philly in a hole that they could not comeback from.

The Rattlers scored on every possession in tonight’s game which means the Soul’s defense could not get a stop! The Rattlers were led by quarterback Nick Davila, who was 23 of 30 for 266 passing yards with nine touchdowns and zero interceptions. Seven of Davila’s touchdown passes went to wide receiver Maurice Purify, who was the Rattlers best offensive player next to Davila. Purify had nine receptions for 143 receiving yards to go along with seven touchdowns.


For the Soul, QB Dan Raudabaugh did not play well in the first half but got his act together sort of in the second half. He would finish the game 26 of 42 and throw for 285 passing yards. Also he would throw seven touchdowns and three interceptions. 

The Soul’s offense would also come together in the second half of the game as wide receiver Larry Brackins would have four touchdown catches. Brackins would finish the game with four receptions and 33 receiving yards. Philadelphia’s leading receiver in this game was Jeff Hughley who had eight receptions for 93 receiving yards and one touchdown. 

The Philadelphia Soul finish the season with a record of 19-4.
