Former Phillies third baseman Placido Polanco has a new team and it’s in the NL East. What team you may ask? Polanco on Thursday signed a one year deal with the Miami Marlins for $2.75 million.
It is going to be interesting to see what Polanco can do in a Marlins uniform as he was pretty much injured last season with the Phils. If you don’t remember, Polanco is not the only former Phillie in Miami. This off-season, outfielder Juan Pierre signed a deal with the fish for one year.
The Miami Marlins are definitely putting themselves in awkward position this off-season by signing older players and also trading away four talented players to the Blue Jays. I think the only player Phillies fans should be scared of is Giancarlo Stanton but who knows he might even get moved.
