Well just when you thought the Philadelphia Eagles had the game in their hands tonight, they blew it when it counted the most. Tonight, the Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Dallas Cowboys 38-33 on Sunday Night Football.
Offensively tonight, the Eagles looked pretty good. Rookie quarterback Nick Foles had a way better game and we finally saw some progressing from him as he made some good throws to convert many third downs. He would finish the night, 22/34 with 251 passing yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions.
Rookie running back Bryce Brown also had another great game until he fumbled the ball as the Eagles were trying to score to win the game. The Cowboys’ Morris Claiborne would pick up the football and take it the end zone for a 50 yard touchdown, ultimately ending any chances of an Eagles comeback.
Other than the fumble, Brown still had a great game rushing the ball 24 times for 169 yards and two touchdowns.
The only other positives you can take out from this Eagles-Cowboys game is that the special teams made some plays. Alex Henery would make two more field goals as he has now made 20 plus consecutive field goals and wide receiver Damaris Johnson would have the Eagles’ first punt return for a touchdown this season, it would be a 98 yard punt return.
The Philadelphia Eagles record now stands at 3-9 and they have loss eight straight games. Next Sunday, the Eagles will travel down to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers at 1:00pm on FOX.
