Here I am back again with the last bowl game of the night, the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. If you didn’t read our last article previewing prospects from the Valero Alamo Bowl make sure you give that a read as well.
In the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl we have a matchup tonight of the TCU Horned Frogs taking on the Michigan State Spartans. Both of these programs have not lived up to preseason expectations but that can all change tonight at 10:15 pm ET on ESPN. In terms of this bowl game I am going to take a look at two offensive potential Eagles prospects that can help them immediately.
Let’s first take a look at Michigan State Spartans’ running back Le’Veon Bell. The junior who has tailed off a bit from game one versus Boise State where he had 210 rushing yards on 44 carries and two touchdowns has still had for the most part a very productive season. This season alone he had 1,648 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Bell is a big back listed at 6-2 and 244 lbs. Le’Veon Bell is a first round talent but since the Spartans did not do well this season I could easily see him at the beginning of the second round. With all of that being said, I expect Bell to be drafted in the late first to early second round in NFL Draft.
Now for TCU I am going off the radar with this potential Eagles prospect. Senior wide receiver Skye Dawson is one of the best punt and kick returners in nation and we know how bad the Eagles needed help on special teams this season. Dawson is ranked 27th in the nation in punt returns with 10 yards per return and is ranked 61st in the nation in kick returns. But he also has problems fielding kicks cleanly so that is his only blemish. He is also a receiving threat with 455 receiving yards. Skye Dawson is a small receiver listed at 5-9 and 183 lbs so expect him to be a 5th-6th round pick in the NFL Draft.
So hopefully you are watching this game while eating wings at Buffalo Wild Wings but if not sit back and enjoy two players that will be integral parts to tonight’s game.
