Sunday evening at the TD Garden, the Boston Celtics played the Denver Nuggets as they looked to continue their winning streak. The Celtics run started after having an impressive game against the Miami Heat at home. Going into last night game both teams were on a winning streak, The Celtics at six and Nuggets with nine wins.
The Celtics top scorers were Paul Pierce with a triple-double consisting of 27 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists. Kevin Garnett finished with a double-double, 20 points and 18 rebounds. Jeff Green finished with 17 points and Jason Terry finished with 26 points, a career high for him off the bench. Also, Avery Bradley finished with 13 points. The top scorers for the Denver Nuggets were Danilo Gallinari with a double-double 18 points and 10 assists. Also, Kenneth Faried finished with a double double 14 points and 10 assists. Ty Lawson finished with 29 points and Andre Miller finished with 15 points.
Boston’s huge win ended Denver’s nine game winning streak. The Celtics have gone streaking and look forward to continue their success as they play the Bobcats tonight.
Without Rajon Rondo being in the game, the Celtics have learned to stretch the ball around the court. In addition, they have limited their turnovers and guys on the benched have stepped up. The veterans on the team may be tired after last night games, so let’s see if they can keep their sharp skills together to pull a victory against the Bobcats!
