With NFL Free Agency kicking off at 4:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon, more and more rumors are coming out about the Philadelphia Eagles being interested in secondary help. This time it is about safety Laron Landry.
The Eagles are definitely trying to revamp their secondary especially their safety play as starters Kurt Coleman and Nate Allen were just horrible. To solve this problem, the Eagles have interest in 49ers safety Dashon Goldson and now according to Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com, reports that they are interested in New York Jets safety Laron Landry.
It can only help if the Eagles can either acquire Goldson or Landry because last season they were ranked in the top 10 in passing yards and that will not win you football games in December and January. This is also big if they can acquire one of these two safeties and possibly Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith because later today at 4:00 pm, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will become a free agent and most likely unless he takes a pay cut, Nnamdi Asomugha will be released.
With all that being said, all day Tuesday will be interesting to see who the Eagles target and go heavy after because if they want to win next season it will have to be done on the defensive side of the ball.
Make sure to stay with us throughout the day on Tuesday as we will keep you up to date if the Eagles make any kind of moves before or after 4:00 pm.
