I don’t know about all of you, but I am beyond fed up with the management of the Flyers. As players like Jarome Iginla, Brenden Morrow, Douglas Murray, Jaromir Jagr, and Ryan Clowe get traded to teams that are already huge threats in the East, the Flyers don’t do a single thing to benefit the team. I believe that they should have tried to sell what they can and attempt to continue to rebuild, like the original plan after trading Jeff Carter and Mike Richards.
Management, on the other hand, was apparently trying to acquire these players that are nothing more than rentals. I’m sorry but do they really think this team is good enough to make the playoffs? If they do, there is a serious problem. Paul Holmgren NEEDS to sell and he NEEDS to do it before it is too late. Obviously Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, and Luke and Brayden Schenn are safe, but why not try to move others? Get what you can to help retool for next season, especially if teams are willing to overpay for players. I am not one for tanking a season to get the best player in the draft, but this team is worthy of getting a top three player because they really are that bad.
It hurts to admit it but you can’t hide from the truth. The Flyers are not a good team but they have guys that can be useful for teams that are in a playoff push. That is all I have to say about that.
