You can now add more accolades to Dom Brown’s collection of awards in his young career as today for the second week in a row he was named NL Player of Week. But the bigger accolade came today when he was named NL Player of the Month for May, representing the AL was who else but Miguel Cabrera.
Both of these players should be all stars. Cabrera will sure be an all star but Brown we don’t know yet but he should be with the way he has been performing so far this season. In May, Brown was hitting .303 with 12 home runs and 25 RBI and also slugging .688. He also in the month of May made a little bit of history. Brown became the first player in Major League history to at least hit 10 home runs in a calendar month without a walk. That’s an amazing stat and fact right there about Brown. It’s amazing to see Dom Brown’s progression through his career as many Phillies fans did not even want him with the big league club. Matter of fact, some people wanted to see Brown traded multiple times.
But to his work ethic, Brown has gotten considerably better and is definitely playing like a National League All-Star.
