This morning, the Philadelphia Eagles signed rookie defensive tackle Bennie Logan out of LSU to a four year rookie contract. With Logan being signed there is only two draft picks left to be signed.
Logan was drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft and he was the sixth draft pick to be signed. The other draft picks that were signed was Zach Ertz, Earl Wolff, Joe Kruger, Jordan Poyer, and David King who were all signed last month. The only two Eagles draft picks not to be signed are first round selection Lane Johnson and fourth round selection Matt Barkley.
Last season with LSU, Logan had 45 tackles and two sacks but as a sophomore in 2011, his numbers were better. In 2011, he had 57 tackles, three sacks, and one forced fumble. All in all he had a pretty productive career at LSU and could make an impact with the Eagles during the regular season.
Finally, before Logan left LSU for the draft, he picked up an accolade for his tremendous play. Last season, he was second team all SEC. It is going to be interesting to see how the Eagles defensive line looks like in the next few years as they have Trent Cole, Brandon Graham, Antonio Dixon, Isaac Sopaga, Fletcher Cox, and now Bennie Logan added to the fold.
