The Sixers have acquired Royce White and the rights to Furkan Aldemir from the Houston Rockets for future draft considerations. Royce White has nothing but upside and potential. Royce White is a 6-foot-8, 260-pound power forward. He gives the Sixers much needed size inside. Royce White played 16 games for the team’s D-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, averaging 11.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in a little more than 25 minutes. White is a very good rebounder.
If you’re a Philly fan you are cheering, because this is what the Sixers have been missing from their team. We all know White had some off the court issues, but on the court he can turn into a complete beast if he works hard. With the trade, the Sixers also picked up Furkan Aldemir. A 6-foot-10, 240-pound Turkish forward, Aldemir averaged 5.1 points and 6.9 rebounds in 40 games for his Turkish team.
