In some Philadelphia Eagles practice squad news, today they signed wide receiver Will Murphy and in the process released offensive lineman Isaac Remington.
Murphy was a part of the Eagles’ final cuts on August 31st but there is an obvious desperate need at the wide receiver position. With the addition of Murphy to the practice squad, the Eagles now have two wide receivers on there including Greg Salas. Personally, I think Greg Salas should be on the 53-man roster instead of Jeff Maehl but that’s up to Chip Kelly and the front office.
Murphy went to the University of Oregon and only played three seasons there initially joining the team as a walk-on. At Oregon, he would only have 240 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Remington came into Eagles’ training camp as a defensive lineman but was then converted to the offensive line while we was on the practice squad.
