Last year, the Brooklyn Nets finished the season with a record of 49-33. That’s really good. On the night of the 2013 NBA Draft, the Nets were involved in a blockbuster trade:

Celtics Receive:

  • Gerald Wallace
  • Kris Humphries
  • Kris Joseph
  • MarShon Brooks
  • Keith Bogans
  • 2014 First Round Draft Pick
  • 2016 First Round Draft Pick
  • 2018 First Round Draft Pick

Nets Receive:

  • Kevin Garnett
  • Paul Pierce
  • D.J. White
  • Jason Terry

This was a huge trade! Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Jason Terry are all veterans in this league, and I thought that they were all going to finish their careers in Boston. That’s why this trade was so shocking. The Nets are now stacked with good players, and I think that they’re set up for an amazing season this year.

Nets 2013-14 MVP Prediction: Deron Williams: Deron Williams is a six foot three point guard out of Illinois. Last year, he averaged 18.9 points, 7.7 assists, and 3 rebounds per game with the Nets. That’s tremendous. He is one of the best point guards in the league. He is a really good shooter, and he also gives his teammates a lot of opportunities to score. I also expect him to get more assists this season, because the Nets now have Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, two people that the Nets didn’t have last year. I am expecting big things from Deron Williams this season.

A Player That Nets Fans Need To Look Out For This Season: Kevin Garnett: Kevin Garnett is a six foot eleven power forward. This season will be his 19th season in the NBA. Obviously, he is very old. He and Paul Pierce were brought into Brooklyn to put the Nets over the top, but Garnett is very old and could start struggling at any time. This year could be the year that his career goes into a tailspin. That could have a major effect on the Nets, and that’s why Nets fans need to look out for him this season.

Nets 2013-14 Season Prediction: 52-30: This Nets team is stacked with great players, like Deron Williams, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Joe Johnson, and Brook Lopez. There aren’t any weak spots in their starting lineup, and that’s why I am predicting that they will go a stellar 52-30 this season.
