Last year, the Toronto Raptors finished the season with a 34-48 record. That is not very good, obviously. They were involved in a pretty big trade over the offseason, in which they sent C Andrea Bargnani to the New York Knicks for F Steve Novak, C Marcus Camby, G-F Quentin Richardson, a 2016 first-round draft pick and second-round draft picks in 2014 and 2017. This was definitely a pretty big trade, but I think the Raptors got the short end of the stick here. Other than that, their offseason was rather dull.

Raptors 2013-14 MVP Prediction: DeMar DeRozan: DeMar DeRozan is a six foot seven shooting guard out of USC. This season will be DeRozan’s fifth in the NBA. Last year, he averaged 18.1 points, 2.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game. That is very solid. One thing I like about DeRozan is that he doesn’t get injured a lot. He played in all 82 games for the Raptors last season, and that’s something that you barely ever see. He is definitely a solid player, and I think he is going to show that with a nice season this year.

A Player That Raports Fans Need To Look Out For This Season: Kyle Lowry: Kyle Lowry is a six foot point guard out of Villanova. This season will be his eight in the NBA. Last season, he averaged 11.6 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game. That’s definitely a solid stat line. Over the offseason he said a lot of things that made the expectations for him, and his team very high. In a nutshell, he said that he thinks the Raptors are a great team, and he thinks that he is going to have a really good season. He has set the bar pretty high for this Raptors team. Will the Raptors live up to the expectations the people have for them? We’ll see soon enough!

2013-14 Raptors Season Prediction: 42-40: This Raptors team is pretty talented, in my opinion. They have Kyle Lowry, Rudy Gay, and DeMar Derozan who are all very talented players. When you have players like these guys, you are set up for a nice season. That is why I think the Raptors will have a record of 42-40 this season.
