Last year, the Houston Rockets finished the season with a record of 45-37. That’s pretty good. As you all probably know by now, the Rockets did sign all-star center Dwight Howard over the offseason, so that definitely makes their team a lot better. Because of this, I am expecting a great season from the Rockets this year.

2013-14 Rockets MVP Prediction: James Harden: James Harden is a six foot five shooting guard out of Arizona State. This season will be his fifth season in the NBA. Last year he averaged 25.9 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game. That’s amazing. He is a top five player in the NBA, I would say. I think that he is going to play a leader role on this Rockets team this season, and that’s why I think that he will be the most valuable player for the Rockets this season.

A Player That Rockets Fans Need To Look Out For This Season: Dwight Howard: Dwight Howard was a huge signing for the Rockets over the offseason. He is said to be the “piece that puts the Rockets over the top”. I think that’s pretty accurate, but this sure is putting a lot of pressure on Howard to do well this season. Some players aren’t good when they’re under pressure, and I think that Howard will be under a lot of pressure this season. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to being under the spotlight this season.

Rockets 2013-14 Season Prediction: 52-31: This Rockets team is really good. They have some great players. Dwight Howard, James Harden, and Jeremy Lin are all very talented players. I feel like they are a serious competitor for the NBA title this year, and that’s why I am predicting that they will have such a good record this season.
