Last year, the San Antonio Spurs finished the season with a remarkable, 58-24 record. They were in the NBA Finals, but lost to LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Last year was obviously a good year for them, but they do have a lot of question marks heading into this season.

2013-14 Spurs MVP Prediction: Tony Parker: Tony Parker is a 31 year old point guard for the San Antonio Spurs. He is 31 years old and every year it seems that people expect a decline from him, but he never does. He’s incredible for his age. He averaged 20.3 points, 7.6 assists and 3 rebounds per game last season. That’s great. He is still considered to be a top five point guard in this league, and I definitely agree with that. That is why I think he will be the most valuable player on this Spurs squad this season.

A Player That Spurs Fans Need To Look Out For: Tim Duncan: Tim Duncan is a 37 year old power forward for the Spurs. You would expect a 37 year old to be rather ineffective, but that’s far from the case with Tim Duncan. Last year, Duncan averaged 17.8 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game. Wow! That’s amazing, and the fact that he is doing that at such a high age makes it even more amazing. The problem with him, though, is that he is 37 years old and could rapidly decline at any moment. This Spurs team needs him, and that’s why I think that Spurs fans need to look out for him this season.

Spurs 2013-14 Season Prediction: 45-37: This Spurs team is very old, to say the least. They are filled with question marks, like Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker. All of these players could rapidly decline at any moment, and the Spurs need each and everyone one of these guys to be effective this season. I doubt that that is going to be the case this season, though. That is why I am predicting that the Spurs will have a 45-37 record this year.
