As you all probably know by now, there has been a rumor swirling around, saying that Tim Tebow has been spotted at a Philadelphia airport. The rumor originated from a post on Smarp.com. Of course, there was not a picture to verify this claim. ESPN’s Adam Schefter, a very credible source, has said that these rumors are false, so folks, don’t believe this rumor.

The Eagles being interested in Tim Tebow would certainly make sense, and that is why there are some people out there who believe this rumor. The Eagles’ two best quarterbacks, Michael Vick and Nick Foles, are injured right now. They are in need of a quarterback, and Tim Tebow is one of their only options at the moment. On top of that, their third string quarterback Matt Barkley has been far from impressive in his first two NFL games, and he certainly isn’t the answer for the Eagles.
On some levels, I kind of wish these rumors were true, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that Tebow isn’t a good fit for this offense. Sure, he’s fast and he can run the ball really well. He can run, but he sure can’t throw the ball well. He is pretty terrible at passing the football, and this Eagles offense revolves around the passing game, so he isn’t the guy for them.
Nice try, Smarp.com, but I think it’s safe to say that Tim Tebow will not be seen in a football uniform this season.
