On Monday night, the Rookie of the year award winners were announced.
American League Rookie of the Year Award Winner: Right Fielder, Wil Myers (Rays)
I agree with this selection. Myers hit 13 home runs, had a batting average of .293, and had a very impressive on base percentage of .354. This was a very obvious selection, in my opinion.
National League Rookie of the Year Award Winner: Starting Pitcher, Jose Fernandez (Marlins)
I definitely agree with this selection. Fernandez had a 2.19 ERA, and a record of 12-6 this season. 12-6 is a very good record with any team, but it’s even more impressive when you do it when you play for the Marlins.
