Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera and Pirates centerfielder Andrew McCutchen have been announced as the American League and National League Most Valuable Players.
This is Miguel Cabrera’s second straigh MVP award. Cabrera had an on base percentage of .442 this season, and he also hit 44 home runs. He was definitely deserving of this award.
This is Andrew McCutchen’s first MVP award. He had a slash line of .317/.404/.508 this season, which is great. He also hit 21 home runs and stole 27 bases. This was an obvious MVP selection.
