Former Braves catcher Brian McCann is close to signing a 5 year, $85 million dollar deal with the New York Yankees, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

There is a sixth year vesting option in this deal, and it is possible that the deal will reach 6 years, $100 million dollars. There is also a full no trade clause, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
I like this deal for the Yankees. McCann is a powerful catcher, and I expect his power to increase with the Yankees because Yankee Stadium is easier to hit in than Turner Field in Atlanta.
